I am passionate about giving back. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a firm believer in social enterprise. My mission is to stimulate rural community economic development through low-footprint tourism. Simply put, I want to give back to the communities where my Destination Retreats take place.
Giving back is a huge motivator for me. And I believe it will also be a meaningful incentive to the women joining us on our retreats, knowing that their choice to do something for themselves is in fact also helping others to do something for themselves.
A percentage of the net proceeds from each retreat (10% taken after all suppliers are paid but before I pay myself), will be re-invested into the community. And participants from each retreat will decide specifically which community project they’d like their group’s contribution to support.
