INFUSION 2009 comes to the Coast
“Breathing new life into business on the Sunshine Coast.” That’s the motto of a fresh, innovative, interactive participant-driven business forum set for Monday, November 30th from 1-5:30 pm at the Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club.
Throughout October and into November input is being gathered from the Sunshine Coast business community. Feedback, questions and suggestions are being collected by forum organizers. Local entrepreneurs and small business owners are encouraged to get involved with building forum content right from the get-go by visiting www.csj4achange.com/wp/infusion2009/ and posting your comments.
“We want local business people to understand that they are part of something BIG, that we’re listening and considering every bit of input we receive over the next 8 weeks,” says Al Mulholland, Executive Director of Sunshine Coast Community Futures. The forum is being built from the ground up. It will be relevant, worthwhile and solutions-based. It’s a forum like no other – in fact, it’s almost an UN-Forum, because the participants are creating it. That’s something totally new, totally different – I don’t think it’s been done before – and certainly not here. It’s time to come together and create a real ‘business community’ — to take the actions necessary to create positive, lasting change, and find new ways of doing business on the Sunshine Coast.”
The goal of INFUSION 2009 is to bring keen business people from up and down the Coast into one room as well as numerous business groups, associations and organizations that are here to support them. Two common themes are coming through thus far in terms of content to be discussed – the need for businesses to THINK BIG and the need to CONNECT more successfully – with each other, with the resources needed to succeed and with potential off-Coast clientele to expand our market.
