You know that saying, “The proof is in the pudding.“? Well, for me the proof is in PERFORMANCE – positive, tangible, accountable performance.
My work is based on results. If my fitness and performance coaching clients don’t evidence results, they won’t continue to seek my services.
If my business development clients don’t evidence results, they won’t continue to seek my services. In fact, some of my contracts are commission-based. My PERFORMANCE dictates my paycheque.
Even in my athletic hobby where I compete at an amateur level, it’s all about PERFORMANCE.
I’ve been asked why I decided to run in this election. With just days remaining in this campaign, I wanted to share a few thoughts on PERFORMANCE.
- I am running for Council because I am not satisfied with the level of PERFORMANCE (ie. tangible wins for the community that you and I can evidence in our everyday lives) that has been demonstrated over the past three-year term in local government. Rather than just talk about it, I’m acting on it.
- I am running for Council because I am not satisfied with the level of PERFORMANCE (ie. tangible wins for the community that you and I can evidence in our everyday lives) that the current process demonstrated by local government has generated. I would emphasize a stronger action-oriented process to balance out the study and continuous consultation oriented process. Are you starting to see a pattern here?
- As a coach and consultant who is hired based on PERFORMANCE, I hope voters will consider voting for me because of what I am already actively DOING in the community… rather than just because of what I ‘say’ I’m going to do. Here are a few examples:
- Play GOLF Give Charity Golf Tournament in support of Together Against Violence
• Awards of Excellence for Sunshine Coast Volunteers in collaboration with The Volunteer Centre
• INfusion Networking Group – Cross pollination & professional development for business, artists and non-profits
• Exceptional Women’s Network – Supporting women in business on the Sunshine Coast
• Sunshine Coast Tourism, Vice-President Marketing 2010 – present
• Best Coast Initiatives Economic Development Board, Director 2010 – present
What matters to me is most that what we say we do, we do. Promises are kept. Scores are tallied. Positive, tangible, accountable performance is rewarded. Lack of performance is not.
